ARC --- Mini Carrier [Level 10][Alpha 10]

Description
Updated with CPU >> https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2066830379

--- ARC Mini Carrier ---

CV Class 1 (0.77), Unlock Level 10
alpha 10 ready - 3200 CPU

The ARC's primary role is to rapidly deploy a tank anywhere, for easy POI take-over, then withdraw with the looted resources.

Additionally the CV makes an ideal access ramp from the ground to the SV pad, and thus repair bay, of the Sanctuary-ST Base. She is also dimension'ed to fit on that SV pad when needing repairs.

Finally she sports a mini-SV bay under the platform, allowing to safely store 2 Breachers mini-SV's for those harder POI's.

--- Features ---

The ARC is built with combat steel for the hull. It has a thick armor on the bow and front sides, but pretty thin elsewhere, and should be kept facing the hostile POI/target. The interior blocks are either carbon or steel.
She comes with :
2 deployable Mini-gun turrets for basic drone/predator defence.
a single container controller - 168 kSU (160 kSU with a repair Bay)
an ammo controller - 16 kSU (mainly an ammo store for the Ravager)
1 small generator for general purposes, and 1 large T1 generator for the thrusters
(powers up with Custom 1. Propulsion)
2 custom groups for drive modes, normal (80 MN <D>) or heavy load (240 MN <D>)
a warp drive, WiFi, a gravity generator.

In the starboard side of the Ship, there are 2 small pressurised decks with a small cargo box, a large cargo box, a fridge, an armor locker, a repository, a medic station, an O2 station, a food processor, a small constructor, 2 pilot seats and 4 passenger's.

There are marked spots for the repair bay (on the platform) and the repair console (top deck)
To place the repair bay, the pentaxid tank needs to be moved 1 block toward the bow, loosing a container extension in the process.

There are reserved spaces for a multi-tool turret ( 3x3x1 behind the port turret) and for the Ore controller plus one extension (replace the large cargo box)

--- Signals ---

The 3 cockpits lights are controlled by the lever near the pilot siege
(but are tuned as to not hinder the pilot's night vision mode)
The main door to the decks is controlled by a lever inside.
All doors leading to the port or starboard maintenance ducts are controlled by the lever in the lower deck
The bow and stern ramps are controlled by Signal groups 1. and 2.
The Breachers bay access is sensor-controlled, but can be manually switched by Signal group 3.

--- Good to know ---

Designed with Mass and Volumes.
With a payload of 24 kt with turbo-prop mode on, she will lift any loot you fit in there, including the HV holds.

All thrusters are unobstructed.

The platform and the starboard maintenance duct are unsafe when the groups Propulsion or Turbo are on.
The port maintenance duct is unsafe if the CV is powered on.

--- the Ravager ASP --- by jrandall

The CV will of course carry any HV but the platform was designed for the Ravager ASP, so there is a 9 meters width hard limit.

To dock the Ravager, set the hover height at 2.0 m or higher, move up the stern ramps, and push to port while lowering on the platform.

To deploy, the CV pilot should deploy the front Ramps - Signal group 1. - and land facing the POI.
( opening the ramps first adds an extra 750 hp layer of protection for the ship's belly )

Once the HV is off the ramps, lift and back off out of fire range, keeping the bow towards the target.

--- the Breacher --- by jrandall

The 2 Breachers shown in the screenshots are modded, having only one docking pad, on the back, centered below the ammo box.

To enter the bay, the SV has to be centered on the shutter and levelled with the CV (helps to use O on both)
I find it easier to dock them backwards, so the sv's can scramble out quickly if need be, but it is possible to dock frontwards and do a 180° inside the bay with the other Breacher already docked in the opposite corner (deactivate weapons or it won't fit).

The mini-SV bay is facing the stern of the ship, so that the body of the CV will block any turret shots aimed at the Breachers as they are undocking.

--- Sanctuary-ST --- by jrandall
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1269396667

The carrier platform being levelled with the SV pad of the Sanctuary-ST Base, landing with the bow against a side of the base, and deploying the stern ramps creates an easy HV access from the ground to the base's repair bay on the SV pad (see screenshots). The CV then also bolsters the base defense by an additional two turrets.

As mentioned, the ARC is dimension'ed with the right footprint for that SV pad, and can thus be repaired there as well.

--- Background ---

Being new to this game, I first went for Workshop designs rather than creating my own, and it quickly appeared that a lot of my favourite blueprints come from jrandall (see Links above).
After a few days of solo and coop game-play using several of those designs, I decided to create a CV to work in pair with the Ravager-ASP and the Breachers mini-SV's to ease our POI take-overs and able to carry all that loot.

I wanted it to be a compact and affordable ship, warp-capable, and tank-ish on the bow, allowing to deploy the Ravager within the fire range of a hostile POI. It also required decent cargo holds and lift, allowing the ASP to dismantle the POI straight into the CV holds. Finally, it had to fit on the base SV pad when in need of repairs, as well as allow our other HV's easy access to it.

Thanks to the constant proximity of the HV, there is barely any need for turrets on the CV, allowing to reduce the design size and costs by much, but I still wanted minimal defense when travelling, and then as Sanctuary-ST is a starter base, those 2 additional turrets really help with the base attacks too.

All in all she is slightly bigger than I originally thought, but within target limits. At 1600, the cost in Neo is a also bit higher than I'd like, but that's the price for the lifting power.
The ARC ends up being very cheap for all the functionalities, and a nice starter CV for us so far, getting us to the other planets with a tank and 2 small SV's at hand.

Being my first CV build, I expect updates to this, but in the meantime, let's enjoy, and loot ! o/

Update 4/8/19 - Replaced that redundant Clone Station ( thanks XCaliber ) with a 16k large cargo box, and fixed a couple textures (note for future builds, thin ventilator are see-through... )

Update 4/8/19 - Reworked the shape of the starboard bow. Uploaded the pics displaying the CV-BA compatibility. updated the description somewhat.
