Following the end of his decorated career in MMA, Cain Velasquez decided to take up another challenge in his life: Lucha Libre. Having trained with AAA's enigmatic star, Psycho Clown, Velasquez made his debut at Triplemania XXVII, teaming with Psycho and AEW's Cody Rhodes and displaying a surprising acumen for the style. In October of 2019, Cain signed with WWE and made a surprise debut on WWE's first Smackdown on Fox, seeking to again target his old foe from the UFC, Brock Lesnar.
