Hydrogen Mars Rover

Description
This has to be by far the most intricate machine I have ever assembled. What started as a simple concept for a mobile HAB unit turned into an entire fortress on wheels.

The machine is 1,279 bricks in total. With new optimization, it shouldn't cause any lag. The two-part damper suspension was invented by Actualsize, and so his ingenious design is what drives this heavyweight house around the Martian surface. Special thanks to him for letting me utilize his design and put my own spin on it to haul heavier weights. You really are a life saver, my dude.

Features include:

- Working three-step airlock at the push of just one button (It took forever to time right).
- Functional gauges on the dashboard using the new circular text plates displaying real-time data for the craft. This also includes an artificial horizon, which functions on just a singular green chrome sphere. Lighting effects can be really useful!
- Fully-stocked interior, including a bathroom, food preparation area, and lounge seat / combination beds near to a flatscreen television. Reception is incredible when you have two massive antennae for transmissions.
- Room for three crew members to live long-term, and approximately six to ride comfortably on temporary missions.
- Full access to technological components in case of needed repairs.
- Solar roof to view the stars above at night.
- Convection / solar cells to power the hydrogen batteries.
- Realistic power depletion / recharging.
- A neat little roof decal. Who doesn't love stickers?

Overall, I had a ton of fun building this thing. The controls are self-explanatory, most stuff is button activated / driven like a typical car. X turns on your windshield wipers, and H is to blare the seemingly useless horn. It also has an absolutely mental top speed for a Martian vehicle of 46MPH, or 74km/h

I sincerely hope you enjoy this somehow not desyncing behemoth on wheels! Yes, I have in fact tested this thing in multiplayer before. The drive system is not at all laggy, so go ahead and spawn this chunk of aluminum and steel in with the host's permission.

6 years old and still one of the best rovers on the workshop

I appreciate all of that, man! And don't sweat reuploaders. They do as they do. But I'm glad you enjoy this machine. Surprised it still works in modern Brick Rigs since the updates bricked like half the workshop.

This is one of my favorite vehicles to use in my brick rigs space roleplay. We usually roleplay on the Canyons map with the Snowfall weather to make it look like an ice planet, and this vehicle looks AMAZING with the weather and map. It blends in, can climb steep hills, makes nice sounds when it moves, and just looks epic! Sadly, this dude called NathanGames reuploaded your hard work and got 280 subscribers. I wanted to do something similar but actually give credit, so instead i recolored some of the parts to red, gave credits and said it was a recolor of your vehicle, and the vehicle's original description. The vehicle in question is the Search and Rescue Hydrogen Mars Rover.

Okay

Not particularly. It's designed to look ultra-modern, but other than that, no real referencing was used. It was built from the ground-up as a depiction of a properly engineered mobile habitat: Virtually the only real way to begin colonizing mars. The planet is so hostile that remaining in one spot is a horrible idea unless you dig underground, which can't be done until proper ground scouting is done. This is meant to be a "stage one" to a colony.

is this thing based on Something?

makes sense, the seperate parts cause the most lag
WarChallenger  [author] 2 Jan, 2023 @ 8:30pm
No, this is a very intricate machine. There are so many control surfaces and moving parts to keep track of on all machines that it definitely can cause lag, especially in newer versions.

so uhh as a server host ive learned if people spawn more than 2 people complain from lag... do they play brick rigs on their phones or something?

Are you in the good version or the newer version?
