Shenandoah Valley

Description
This map is heavily based on Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. The goal I had in mind was to recreate the rural, rolling hills of the valley while still allowing for growth beyond the small towns/cities that you find throughout the region.

Farmland was created using a combination of natural resources. Terrain was generated using a terrain.party heightmap with some in-editor landscaping to improve play-ability.

Unlimited Trees Mod has been used in order to realistically fill out the forested areas. Tree cover in the Appalachains is incredibly dense, therefore a significant amount of trees is required to simulate that look and feel.

I highly recommend using the 81 Tiles Mod, though it is not required.

Thanks for the heads up! BonBonB definitely looked at this map with much more scrutiny than I did and brings up some great flaws that I didn't catch. Some great points to take into consideration for future improvements.

Hi Bear-Joe, your map was reviewed on youtube by BonBonB in his What Map video.
You made a beautiful landscape - beautiful tree planting, and farm fields - your map looks amazing. The road network is good too ; BonBonB has a few little tips for you in his video.
I think this will be a very nice map to build a beautiful city on.
