Description
Big John Studd wrestled for the WWF (going back to the WWWF days), the AWA, and Mid-Atlantic Wrestling throughout his career, spanning much of the 70's and 80's.

Studd was a giant in the ring, and along with his manager Freddie Blassie, he famously issues a $10,000 Bodyslam Challenge, daring anyone to come to the ring and slam him to the mat. Multiple wrestlers failed to slam Studd before Andre the Giant got involved, leading to a long feud between the two behemoths.

Studd is also notable for winning the 1989 Royal Rumble, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.

He had Blassie for a few years before Heenan.
