Golan Defense Station Mk III (star wars)

Description
The Golan space defense platforms were a series of armed space stations built by Golan Arms. Designed for the defense of valuable planets and facilities, the first Golan platforms began production during the closing years of the Galactic Republic. After the Clone Wars spurred the production of ever larger warships, the original Golan Defense Platform was succeeded by the Golan II Space Defense SpaceGun and the Golan III Space Defense NovaGun. Later models included the Golan VIII, which was fitted with a hyperdrive should the platform need to be relocated.

-The bulk of the interior is frame work, meant to be replaced with sheilds, gens, ect to fit you personal needs.

-I highly recomend using the turrets from this collection with this station, they look amazing - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1353611949

You should try making Imperial Asteroid faculities and other themed stations, I really love your work, fits well with other Galactic Empire builds, I am gaining a collection so I can play a themed collection as a Imperial Warlord of some sort lol

Thanks for the tips~

I was comparing khilmarr's ISD "How I play it" as the reference point since you conveniently placed a comparison picture(thanks haha).

I got it up to scale with the picture and damn you're right. it's so huge

P.S. - The last picture up top shows all three stations next to an ISD for scale.

@MikeG - I find the best way to scale this up is by checking the box for "pause in build mode", then use the "modify entire ship" button. By having the game paused while doing this, it greatly helps reduce the lag while attempting this. Also, try not to slide the scaling slider, just try to click once. I.E., instead of sliding it over to 2x, just click once on the slider bar.

As for as "proper scale", in this game its a bit of a moot point. What are you comparing it too. If you go by actual lengths (i.e. "1 avorion unit is about 10 meters") then everything else goes way out of whack.

When I start a build like this, I use 2x2 framework blocks to build up the interior and get a starting shape. Then start skinning it and adding in fine detail work. I do this not for scale, but to help everything line up without having any gaps or overlaps in blocks. Later, one can go back and convert the 2x2 framework blocks to tweek gen rates, shields, ect.

@The Brofessor Thanks~

I noticed this isn't to scale with the ISD, I think.(Either that or the ISD I have isn't to scale either. Though I'm pretty sure it is)

Very hard to upscale with this many blocks. Hahaha

For scaling, 1 Avorion unit is about 10 meters, so I use that to build a frame and then work off that.

Amazing work! I've been wanting to try my hand at making Star Wars space stations, specifically the Fondor Shipyard in Star Wars Battlefront 2.
Have any tips and such? Like how to scale properly? Big thanks!
