Description
The IEC Excelsius Mobile Base was built for long term planetary exploration and patrol. With a more advanced suspension than the Mirandus, the Excelsius is capable of a surprisingly smooth ride for its size, while at the same time providing maximum grip to the planet surface for optimum thrusterless drive power. This allows the Excelsius to travel nearly anywhere. The Excelsius comes complete with everything needed for survival, including oxygen/hydrogen systems, refinery and assembly systems, a spacious vehicle bay equipped with docking gears, a moderately sized flight deck and more.

Notes for driving:
==============
For ease of pasting into the world, the suspension system is deactivated and locked into place. Once having pasted into the world, the wheels may stop in crooked angles. Simply find the driver's seat, deactivate the parking brake (number 8 on the hot bar) unlock the suspension rotors (6) and activate the suspension (7). 7 Only needs to be activated once. The vehicle will not drive as intended if the suspension system is deactivated. Max sugested speed is 71km/h but is fully capable of traveling faster.

oh, um, yeah, about the rotors being outside thier limits, they were at the time the issue took place, part of the fix was changing the limits until they worked again :D

I'm glad you were able to fix it. I couldn't figure out why it was acting that way other than thinking the rotors got outside their angle limits. I'll start on a ship to move and carry a large ship soon. Got something I'm really enjoying putting together at the moment.

well, this grid and my fav carrier :D

if by this you mean the wheels end up on basically the same level as the bottom of the rover (basically the rover belly drags) then yes, but I did manage to fix it via complicated yet careful realignment of the rotors' limits combined with redoing the wheel settings, managed to get the clearance back where it should be, I still love this crawler, the only grid I've used that I spent a day and a half making an ugly super barge just to transport, or one I spend effort repairing/fixing/upgrading to keep using :D

The crawler isn't designed to be super high from the ground. But do the rotors drop the ship lower than a 90 degree angle from the hull of the vehicle?

I'll have to take a look into it. I don't remember exactly how I put everything together on the suspension on that one

second question, this one about suspension, I've followed the instructions on the screen near the driver seat, but am now having the crawler end up too low to the ground, and I can't seem to fix it, how did you get the suspension to go where the ramp could fully go down to allow loading?

so, question regarding this big guy (that I've already modified to match my needs, but this is still an absolutely glorious vessel), is there anything in the IEC fleet that could viable lift, carry, or transport this baby from one planet to another, or has that not been developed yet? (if not I'd love to work with you on making such a vessel :D )
