Description
A custom turret blueprint that comes with a base, loaded ammo and programmed script to be fully AI controlled.

Uses OKI Observation Unit to aim and requires Whip`s Turret Slaving AI to operate.


This large grid turret uses 4 OKI 230mm fixed battlecannons and 3 rocket launchers to engage enemy large grid vessels and stations up to 1.5 km range (for battlecannons). Custom built tower allows for -10 to 90 degrees elevation for barrels and full 360 degree azimuth targetting.

These turrets are just examples of how to set up custom stuff using Whip`s script.
And this particular is extremely ugly to be honest :D

That`s odd.
Check the 'custom data' in programmable block for 230mm turret. There are configs for the range, allowed angles and many other stuff to mess with.

Cannons have low rate of fire though. Might be it?

Hmm, setup a test by pasting a ship in and setting it to pirate. all three of these Turrets you posted worked great. (once i actually had things setup right and the right ammo). lol

But i was not seeing the 230MM cannons firing. the rockets on that turret did, just not the canons. Is there something i need to do different in the script setup or group setup for both weapon types to fire? or was it possible that the target was too close?

very good. i was studying your work to learn. fantastic work really. I have been trying to figure out the textures. i have seen a couple mods i would really like to still use that have jacked up textures and no modder to fix.

It is ok. It will work without the missing part and at the same time wont confuse the script.

one of the elevation rotors is missing a rotor head in the blueprint. is this ok, or does it need to be fixed?
