Report a translation problem
1. Place the aforementioned round part
2. Shape your fairing
3. Remove the round part
For my engine bell fairing, I created a very flat fairing disk first for the round part, then built the engine using the second 5m fairing. After that, I deleted the first fairing, resulting in an open nozzle.
1. place a round part (eg. fuel tank) behind/in front of the faring base
2. shape the fairing, let it end on the round part ("intersection fairing")
3. click on the round part to pick it up, then click again to put it back on place
4. fairing now disappears, which is fine
5. Ctrl+Z to undo!
6. Round part disappears, fairing reappears
