Invasion - The Shard

Description
-Updated: September 10th. Admins please use the command "destroywilddinos" to ensure proper spawning of newly added creatures.

The Invasion has begun.

This Mod adds spawnpoints on The Sacred Path for many of the creatures from the Shard of Faith DLC, and adds new hunter vendors in the cities where you can purchase the saddles and suppression stones for them.


Currently included in this mod we have:
Snowfoxes and Piglings - Spawns near the 3 main cities. Piglings can be scattered through several of the forests near the cities as well.

Uillip - Spawns in the ruins near the 3 main cities as well as the ruins near the Snow Mountains. (The ones near the human city like to run down to the beach and play with Rabbits)

Kasha - Spawns in many of the forests and can also be found on the plains as well.

Bufo - Spawns in rivers scattered throughout the map. (Currently their spawn has been reduced and can be found mostly in deeper rivers, They were spawning too close to cities and decimating much of the original habitat)

Dharkhu - Spawns in the mountains, the higher you go, the more there are. (Spawn rate is slightly lower than originally set, for climbers they like to fall off the mountains a lot and mess with everything at the base of the mountain)

Overseer - Spawns in the forests (near cities as well) and in the lower mountains.

Scarab - Spawns on the beaches and some cliffs near the ocean. (The Hyena spawns near the beaches have been removed due to overspawning and scarab preservation)

Boglord(Withered Treant) - Spawns in and around the Moors. (Mushroom forest)

Spectre - Spawns in Death forest and The Shipwreck. Pretty much anywhere reapers spawn naturally. (Spawn rate is reduced on the main continent and increased at the shipwreck)

Ice Golem - Spawns almost everywhere Earth Elementals spawn. (Half of the current Earth Elementals have been converted to Ice Golems to ensure balance)

Dune Threshers - Spawns near the beaches and the base of Volcano Island.

Owl - Spawns near the base of mountains and near most Unicorn spawn points. (Currently slightly low as they seem to have an inferiority complex and are highly aggressive with a high aggro range

Ice Dragon - Ice Dragon Spawn has been added to the top of the Largest Snow Mountain as a Rare. It was unclear if this mod was causing an issue with no Ice Dragons spawning, as during my tests I could not get them to spawn normally without the mod. (It seems this has been an onlgoing issue the developers have been working on since Ice Dragon Spawns are handled a bit differently. Please keep an eye out for any overpopulation since they do tend to wander and allow more to spawn eventually. I ran my server at increased speeds and the most I have seen spawned so far is 2 Ice Dragons at a time. But please let me know if this becomes an issue so I can adjust it right away.

That is all for the spawns included so far. I plan on adding more as time goes on.


Next we have the vendors:
The hunter Vendors have twins now that sell the suppresion stones for Uillip and Overseers. As well as the saddles for Bufo, Kasha, and Dharkhu. They sell the saddles at roughly the same donation amount as Panther Saddles.
-Hunter Vendors have been updated to sell items required to Revive Uillip and Overseers. (Tetrachromat Beads, Shade Essence, Crystalline Eye Beam, Smoldering Core)

The vendors also share Development status with the current Hunter Vendors. So if you donate to either one they both will receive the development towards purchases. (The new vendors do not purchase any items, they do sell some of the same stuff as the originals, extra feed and the such)

The new vendors look like the current hunter vendors and are very close to their originals so they are easy to find.

Also, you can now additionally harvest Crimson Ore from Darkstone Nodes, this was added to help Task progression a bit.


Now, on to the Technical stuff!

If you tame something from this mod, and have to remove the mod for any reason. The only Tames that will NOT disappear when you remove the mod are Snow Fox, Bufo, Kasha, Dharkhu, and Piglings. The others will vanish upon removal of the mod. I will continue to try and find a way for them to not vanish, but it is more of a base file loading issue with the game that will need to be updated.

When you first load the mod, you might see the City NPC's patrolling around(Including vendors) and see a few extra guards. This is just the old NPC Manager and the new one overlapping at the start and should go away in about 5 minutes. (Give it a full in game day just to be safe if they continue acting strangely)

Finally, make sure to use the Admin command "cheat destroywilddinos" when first loading the mod up to ensure that everything begins spawning in properly.


Hope you guys enjoy the mod! I've been attempting to tweak it and adjust the spawns as much as I can. Been running my server at super speeds trying to keep an eye on the populations, but I could use any and all feedback for you all who use this to make further adjustments in the future.

Update #1 - Fixed incompatibility issues with several other mods.
Update #2 - Fixed bug that would cause game crash when running as standalone mod(Developer error when troubleshooting Update #1)
Update #3 - Fixed bug that caused several Vendor NPC's to wander away fromt their posts and vanish.

Update #4 - Added required items to vendors to Revive Uillip and Overseers. (They will become available at the same Developer Status as the Suppression stones)
Added Spawn Points for Dune Threshers on the Volcano Island. (near the beaches and slightly up the mountain)
Added Spawn Points for Owls. (Near the base of some mountains and near Unicorn spawn points)
Added Ice Dragon Spawn point at the top of the Large snow mountain. (Rare spawn)
Slightly increased Spawn of Overseers
Adjusted the spawns of Kasha near Snow mountains. (Slightly lower)

Depends which Task in the Necromancer tree your on but just to make sure, have you checked to see if all other requirements have been met before it allows you to complete said task?

Quick question, I am unable to finish the necromancer task even if I harvest the crimson ore. I cannot complete it. Is there any reason for that?

I would play this mod, but the purple sky, that is, swiping on the floor of the screen is very annoying, it is not possible to play
