T34 - Budget Grade

In 1944 prototypes for the T29 and T30 American heavy tanks were designed. In 1945 the 120mm Anti-Aircraft gun was converted into a tank gun, and it was recommended that two hulls from the T30 program be allocated to mount the 120mm guns for testing. Thanks to the lower caliber, the previously elaborate loading system made for the 155mm gun of the T30 was not required and a heavy ballast was added to the back of the turret to balance the gun's weight.

Testing took place at Fort Knox of the now designated T34 in 1947. They went fine aside from problems with the main gun... At least two men were hospitalized when the breach was opened allowing unburnt powder and gasses to enter the fighting compartment as the shell was ejected, where they ignited. Two attempts were made to fix this and resulted in a fume extractor being placed directly behind the muzzle break.

In the end neither the T29, T30, or T34 were mass produced due to weight, and it just wasn't that necessary at the time. As it was the M26 pershing nearly didn't make the cut because the dock cranes couldn't even lift a 46 ton tank let alone this 70 some tons of freedom. Additionally because a lot of armor was moved by rail, being too wide for train cars was also a contributor. The M103 that was later manufactured took inspiration from the T29/30/34 project.

The Budget T34 is a machine built for multiverse. Its 184 blocks total allowing multiple people to be using It or other budget tanks that are balanced between each-other for combat. The T34 features a very robust turret and gun mantlet that can easily abuse hull down positions being basically impervious to low and mid power cannon fire. Its hull however is weak to just about any weapon.

This vehicle was built by Oltsu and passed on to me for minor tweaks and uploading.

Mobility is meant to mimic the T34 in world of tanks~
