Arnhem, Netherlands 1:1

Description
This is the 2nd and definitive version of my map of Arnhem and surrounding area.
It's the first map I've ever made and it has taken about 6 months to build.
(small updates done october 8th after BonBonB noticed some things that I forgot about :) )

Arnhem is a city with approx. 170k residents, together with surrounding town/villages on the map this is an area with 220k inhabitants. Neighboring towns are Westervoort, Duiven, Oosterbeek, Velp, Rheden.
Maybe you've heard of Arnhem because of WWII and the Operation Market Garden fiasco or the "A bridge too far" movie.
As far as possible this map is to scale (17.28x17.28km) and it contains not only the highways but also most main roads as well as important smaller roads on old ♥♥♥♥♥ or small roads that interconnect villages.
For gameplay purposes the highway south has no outside connection because CS AI will start sending all traffic straight through the city when you do connect it. This highway south does however loop back into a "secret" tunnel highway which connects to an existing highway west. Hopefully it will offer an easier way for local traffic on the western side of the map to reach their destination without causing excess traffic on the eastern roads or through the city.

I've tested the use of a harbour without mods and for me it worked in the real-life location (with the use of MoveIt, how else). That's the inlet with quay east of the city center.
There is a small amount of oil available as well as ore.
In real-life there's (something like) a cement factory on the eastern side of the Yssel river and something similar on the south-west bank of the Rhine.
Oil can be found near the harbour and in the spot where in real-life a Shell distribution plant is located.

To the north of Arnhem lies the old airforce base "Deelen" where I've already put in some road so you can see where the runways are.

The map uses Avanya's No Cliffs theme, mainly because we don't have cliffs in the Netherlands.
The Unlimited trees mod is necessary, the map contains 500.000 trees.
This map is meant to be played with the 81Tiles mod, Network Extensions 2 and Electrified Roads mod. Using the River Cargo mod is optional and I highly recommend using the Advanced Vehicles mod so you can remove cruise ships and cargo ships. You can get smaller river cargo ships here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=862755837

I'm still fuguring out how to make my Overlay available, it's quite large in filesize.

I would like to thank MrMiyagi for his detailed mapmaking tutorials and also AmiPolizieFunk for his motivating story about how frustrating it can be when things are not "to scale". That story is what made me redo this map completely.

Aan de oostkant idd een betonfabriek (Struyk Verwo Infra - productielocatie aan de IJsseldijk in Westervoort) en mogelijk die aan de Rijn is Betoncentrale Nederrijn BV in Huissen.
Mooie gedetailleerde map

@pgkenny You didn't happen to drop in, or have relatives do so, to help the locals by any chance did you?
"Ready for anything"?

If so then Sir, I tip my hat to you and yours.

EXCELLENT map! I love how you have done all the roads... saves me the bother. I mean I can start doing the houses right away. I see the point of getting narrower ships as the river is quite narrow for the vanilla cruise ship. I visited Arnhem many years ago, the Hartenstein Hotel especially. I'll let you figure out why I might have done that yourself. Cheers!
