Description
INTRO
This is a mod i mostly made for myself, but thought other people may also have an interest in.
When i first started playing the game, i was really looking forward to the assembly and killing my enemies, only to reassemle them and turn them against thier former allies.
But i was a little dissapointed to find the reverse engineer could basically only revive units that were already cyborgs. And only friendly units at that!

The next race i tried was the amazon. I thought, if i cant rip them to shreds with an army of reassembled, ill rip them to shreds with tooth and claw.
Only to find the most reliable method of recruiting animal units was primal control. Which was an expensive tactical operation, that wouldnt work on anything higher than a tier II animal.

TL;DR
While playing the campaign, the dialogue kept talking about the assembly creating armies from the dead, and the amazon harnessing native plants and animals.
But the game didnt really allow any of that in practice, so i attempted to fix that.

WHAT THIS MOD DOES
The reassemble ability of the reverse engineer:
- Now also works on enemy corpses.
- Now also works on biological units.
- Will not work on hero units, mechanical units, or etheral units e.g. psi-fish
- Any revived unit be revived as "assembly" and "cyborg"

Primal control operation from the amazon race:
Not much change here.
-Now works on higher tier animals
-Now works on plant units.


DISCLAIMER PLEASE READ:
This is the 1st time ive ever so much as opened modding software, so keep that in mind.
The in-game descriptions of these abilities have not been changed, im not that familiar with the software, and changing text is more confusing than i originally expected it to be.

Great mod and the reassembly works like a charm with one exeption - when the Unit-Mod Advanced Re-Engineering is applied to a Reverse Engineer, it works only on your own units again. So if you ever think about updating your mod, please include the said Unit-Mod. Thanks for your Work!

This mod works really well! Thanks @op! Everyone should note that the AI WILL USE THIS, but they won't use it effectively.

If you want to STEAM ROLL use nothing but Reverse Engineer's and make sure to get Advanced Re-Engineering. You don't even have to Manually battle. With 6 Engineer's you'll get on average 1 extra unit per battle, sometimes 2-3.

Supplement Air Units to quickly scour any remaining opposition.

the amazon higher tier animals doesnt seem to work as with 97% chance it says it succeeds but the unit is not under my control

This mod is the BEST. It really made the Assembly for me. They're like the BORG. Fill your armies with engineer's and almost every battle you're getting more and more enemy units. =D

I agree with Loken, that Reassembled units should only be an effect added AFTER battles, since it would Indeed make the NPC-faction using these skills nearly invincible. Could you please look into that possibility?

I really like the concept of this mod but it played too op for me. I retried the same exact combat twice with this mod and then once without it. I played against the AI Reassembly. Both times with the mod on, I got overwhelmed quickly from the enemy reanimating my troops. Then when I turned off the mod, the battle was still tough but I won and so was able to compare how things played out pretty closely with and without the mod. This would be a great mod if the reanimated troops didn't pop right up in the same battle. It would be balanced better if the reanimated troops were awarded to the player after the battle was over. Sorry I had to unsubscribe. I'd like to come back if the benefit of reassembling everything gets balanced in some way. As it is, "resistance was futile."

I don't think this works with the upgraded reassembly mod.
