My lowest tech science gathering machine mainly for KSC science. It has the metal like that because it can have limit up to 80m/s impact safety and protect module. Sometime it is hard to roll to where you want it to go but do-able. To unstuck movement or eva unable to return vehicle, uses the service bay door to lift it up one sided so kerbal can climb up the hatch door.
