Wasp class Light Carrier (VAN)

The Wasp class is a purpose built conversion of Antares class hulls into a useable light carrier, primarilly to replace the old worn out Boise-C class conversions, which were too slow and carried too few fighters to be of any use. These ships came just too late to fight in the Xanthi war, however a group of 10 were ordered, both to give more experience with dedicated carriers, as well as to relieve the three Enterprise class ships of continuous fleet command service.
