Northern Class 150 (coach 1)

Description
Northern is a train operating company in the north west of England. The franchise is owned by Arriva, and was launched on the 1st of April 2016, taking over from the previous franchise - Northern Rail. This was operated by a consortium of Serco and Abellio.

The cities served by Northern trains include Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Sheffield, Preston and Blackpool. The fleet currently consists of the following classes:

Class 150/1 and 150/2
Class 153
Class 155
Class 156
Class 170
Class 195
Class 319
Class 321/9
Class 322
Class 331
Class 333
Class 769

The 769's are actually 319's that have been converted from straight electric to 'bi-mode', which is the modern term for 'electro-diesels'. This means that they can operate away from overhead wires, using underflooer diesel engines.

The newest units in the Northern fleet are the Class 195 (diesel) and 331 (electric) units. These were built in Spain by CAF between 2017 and 2019, with the 1st Class 195 entering service in July 2019. They are the only new trains built for the Northern franchise so far in the 21st century. There are fourteen 195's and fourty-three 331's, which are a mix of two (two 195's), three (thirty-one 331's) and four-car (12 331's and 12 195's) formations.

The specific unit this reskin is based on is Class 150/2 No. 150206.
