FF-314 Crusader

FF-314 is a frigate designed to perform hit and run attacks, escort convoys and much more. It's an excellent ship for long hauls with life support including pressurized interior, oxygen storage, gravity and airlock. The Crusader has two left and two right connectors and one connector paired up with a merge block on the bottom which allows to carry wide array of additional modules for mining, thrust, weapon systems... anything you need, stable and directly connected to the whole conveyor system that can be also easily and fast disconnected.



Modless, airtight, survival ready, has fancy lights just like real planes have and uses MMaster's Automatic LCDs 2.

The Crusader offers comfortable crew quarters, lots of inventory space and good protection.



Bridge and all turrets are protected from frontal attacks with heavy armor. The ship uses industrial cockpit for it's high number of LCD panels, better protection than the standard flight seat and the cockpit itself is further reinforced with bulletproof window on each side. All LCDs inside the cockpit run MMaster's Automatic LCDs 2 script to keep the pilot well informed about ship's gas levels, available cargo, jump drive status, damage and more. This design also provides excelent view forward and to the sides.






I spent several days testing the Crusader in both survival and creative mode. When it comes to perfomance in battle, FF-314 is very vesatile and fast but for longer battles requires support. The design of the ship has a few minor issues such as limited accessibilty to Port and Starboard connectors and landing on planet/moon surface requires additional platform.

Inside you can find 4 hydrogen tanks and single jump drive. Internal systems include basic refinery, assembler with speed module and basic assembler for quick field repairs. All of these and some oxygen generatos with the exception of basic assembler can be easily accessed and replaced from the outside.





- note: if you want to start up after shut shutdown, make sure you are connecetd to active source of energy. Automatic shutdown turns off all of ship's power sources. To make start easier, you can press 1 on cockpit toolbar 8 to turn on internal reactors. Ship's main powersource are 4 batteries which can last for days on single charge. Ships reacotrs and hydrogen engine will be automatically turned off after startup.
