This is something I didn't realise I needed until I tried it. The shift times are noticeably faster, it feels way more responsive now and it is easy to go through gears fast if I need to suddenly reverse. No problem found so far, good mod, thanks.

When i reset the car i end up in a free camera mode which is nice. Not sure if this was intended.

wow. So this will automatically make everyone who doesn't use a clutch as fast (if not more) than clutch users, including automatic users to a certain point. This is massive, good job mate.

Wow, that's pretty bad. Thanks for the insight.

You can only set a predefined gear for the start with an H-shifter and it's unfortunately hard coded into the game

This mod sounds great! The point at which I notice most of the issue with the sequential trans is when switching in and out of reverse. It takes a ridiculously long amount of time to do so. Getting into gear off the start has never been an issue for me. You can hit the button/trigger to shift into first as soon as the last count hits, which if timed right, results in no delay. I very rarely get hit from behind off the start and when I do it's because I waited too long to get in gear. This is using an Xbox controller with no clutch. Afaik there isn't a trick for reverse gear, or for getting into gear off a reset. Is there any way to expand this mod to also put you in first gear at the start of the race and whenever you reset?

The only way to make starts equal is to be able to start on the first gear. The reason starts are unequal is that people not using clutch have to wait approx. 1,2 seconds for the game to register the upshift, while clutch users can pretty much start with a gear on already.
