Cold and dark start procedures:

1: Enter mechanical room (Left side of external walkway)
Set "Connect TRACT GENS to motors" to off
"Connect TRACT GENS to MAINS" to on
"Connect AUX GEN to traction motors" to off
"Connect AUX GEN to Main power" to on

2: Enter cab
Turn on " Fuel pump"
"Engine Starter"

3: Turn off "Engine Starter" when the RPS goes above 5.00

4: Set "Engine start battery/Main battery" to on until battery level returns to 1.00, then set "Engine start battery/Main
battery" to off

5: Return to mechanical room
Set "Connect TRACT GENS to motors" to on
"Connect TRACT GENS to MAINS" to off
"Connect AUX GEN to traction motors" to on
"Connect AUX GEN to Main power" to off


General guide to buttons and their functions:

MECHANICAL ROOM:

"Coolant shutoff valve" Cuts off coolant between engines and coolant system (Used when refilling coolant)
"Drain coolant fluid" Empties the coolant system of coolant. (Diesel)

"Low/High speed gear" Changes the maximum speed and torque of the locomotive

"Connect TRACT GENS to motors" Connects the traction generator system to the traction motors
"Connect TRACT GENS to MAINS" Connects the traction generator system to the main electrics (The battery that powers the non traction motor stuff)

"Connect AUX GEN to traction motors" Connects the auxiliary generator to the traction motors
"Connect AUX GEN to Main power" Connects the auxiliary generator to the main battery

LOCOMOTIVE CAB:

"Locomotive traction motor connector" Connects the traction generators to other rolling stock units (Lower electric coupler connection)
"Locomotive HEP connector" Connects the main battery to other rolling stock units (Upper electric coupler connection)

"This locomotive is a control unit" Locomotive is locally controlled when it is turned on. Otherwise, its a B unit.
"Facing A Unit?" When turned on, it means that the cab of this locomotive/B Unit is facing the control/A unit.
"Enable radio control" Links this unit up to the radio control system.
INDICATOR LIGHT "Master Unit" When on, it means that this unit ready to for radio operations
"Control FREQ send/receive" Controls the radio frequency that this unit operates with. Send when its an A unit and receive when its a B unit.
