Description
The Sabretooth Heavy Attack Corvette is a hydrogen fuelled short ranged direct attack vessel designed to destroy ships primarily defended by AI turrets. Eight sequenced rocket launchers and twelve forward facing missile turrets provide the ship's main firepower and are able to quickly strip an enemy vessel of defensive weapons.

The two bow prongs are filled with decoys and welders. These draw fire away from the ships main weapons and systems and greatly improve the ships durability when facing the enemy.

The Sabretooth is primarily powered by batteries and is relatively cheap to build compared with an Ion based vessel.

Although well armoured at the front, the Sabretooth is vulnerable to attacks from the rear and should flee using its powerful rear thrust and jump drives if surrounded.


Instructions
Turn on the repair projector and welders.
Point and shoot.
Strafe up, not left and right.

Love this ship. It reminds me the Rifter from Eve Online, a little.

Some modification (removed the central rocket-welder part to add TWELVE railguns, added tons of small reactor in every corner I could without killing external ahestetic and internal space so it can withstand the energy demand, removed all Interior turrets but the entrance one, changed gatling turrets with missile turrets) and now it became my "Trasher" ship. Can destroy anything now.

"Watch out, there's an enemy ther.....oh sorry, SHIFT+CANC, deleted forever".

C'est vraiment du super boulot ...et cette perle d'ingénierie fonctionne encore a merveille, je me suis permis de le muscler encore un peu et de lui permettre de descendre sur la terre et d'en repartir...pour les vacances au soleil ;):steamhappy:

@Trevor Activating the Welders and Repair projector will repair the decoys in the prongs and the main rocket launcher battery. There is no landing gear. This vessel is not rated for low altitude planetary flight.

@5URG3 I dont understand how to repair system works. Also is there a landing gear? or does that not matter too much on planets?

@Baron_Grantville You can do whatever you like with it, but if you publish your refit, please include a link to the original design.

@MrEvan312 The layout that allows all turrets to hit a target in front of the vessel and the decoy arrangement was based on High Ground's design. The actual look of the vessel did indeed take a few cues from the Rifter. The funny thing is, I've never played Eve. I only know of the Rifter due to an old cargoship mod for SE :D

@P E R I S H I used to get that bug. I found it happened less the more I played. :)

i was about to comment on it's resemblance to the Rifter Class Frigate in EVE-Online... but someone else already did..
this is very, very cool, good looking ship. A real beauty for playing pawn. :3
