NPCs also probably don't use much file space because they're just made through scripts, the file size comes from, get this, the textures and models. Sure, 15 MB is maybe slightly higher than it could be if stuff was compressed further, but if you want to whine about file size go complain about the single models that take up 200 MB because the author doesn't know that 8K textures without compression is generally a bad idea.

maybe its reflections or something but mat_specular 0 does nothing
