A file inside a zip file isn't a file yet until you extract it.

In any case, it sounds like a Windows problem. A zip file does not store file permissions, it just stores files. If your Windows refuses to permit access to you to some file you downloaded, it is a problem with your Windows.

No, I didn't. Why would that make it readable?

Unowninator, did you extract the ZIP file first? This sounds more like a problem in your Windows installation.

Hey, just so you know, the README doesn't work on Notepad or Wordpad. When I try, it says
"The system cannot find the path specified."

Shadow Chaos: True that :-) I just hadn't had time to figure out the exact set of instructions that I could pass forward; the present instructions in the README assume no existing mods. I'll keep your instructions in mind! Thank you.
