Description
A fictional 1890s-1900 protected cruiser based upon the Zenta class. Built to the same standards as the Wien class, she maintains the high mimic count, full interior, etc. However, i have indeed attempted to up the anti, by making the 6 inch deck guns as detailed as possible, and improving the detailing of the exterior.

The Szigetvar class was a class of protected cruisers of the K.u.K Kriegsmarine designed shortly after the Zenta class in 1898. All of the class were built in the Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino shipyards in Trieste. The first cruiser, SMS Szigetvar, was laid down in 1899. Construction on her sister ship, SMS Salzkammergut, continued up to 1902. The class was based upon the prior protected cruiser class, the Zenta, being effectively an enlarged, up-gunned, and up-armoured equivalent with a similar, if expanded, gun layout. The Szigetvar class was designed to fill the noticeable gap between the pre-existing protected cruisers, and the existing and planned armoured cruisers, with firepower to match her contemporaries, at the expense of armour and speed.

The Szigetvar class had an overall length of 105 meters (345 ft), a beam of 15 meters (49 ft) and had a designed draft of 6 meters (20 ft). The class had a designed displacement of 4,400 metric tonnes (4,331 long tons).

She had a pair of three-cylinder vertical triple-expansion steam engines, each driving a single propeller shaft. Steam for the engines was provided by ten Yarrow boilers and they made an average total of 15,100 horsepower (11,260 kW) during her sea trials on 2 September 1901. The average maximum speed during the trials was 21 knots (38.9 km/h; 24.2 mph), but a maximum speed of 23 knots (42.6 km/h; 26.5 mph) was achieved. She carried enough coal to steam for 3,500 nautical miles (6,500 km; 4,000 mi) at a speed of 10 knots (19 km/h; 12 mph).

The Szigetvar's main armament consisted of eight 15.2 cm (6 in) guns. Two of these were mounted fore and aft of the deck in single pivot mounts protected by gun shields, another two mounted broadside in the same mounts, while the other four guns were mounted in casemates on the sides of the hull. Her secondary armament comprised six 7.62 cm (3 in) guns and six 5.1 cm (2 in) anti-torpedo boat guns. All six of the 7.62 cm (3 in) guns were mounted in casemates on both sides, while four of the 5.1 cm (2 in) anti-torpedo boat guns were mounted on pivot mounts broadside and the remaining guns were in casemates in the bow. She was also armed with two 45-centimeter (17.7 in) torpedo tubes mounted in the hull above the waterline.

Over the engine and boiler rooms the thickness of the deck armour a total of 63.5 mm (2.5 in). The main guns were protected by 76.2 mm (3 in) of armour, both the deck guns and the casemates, while the secondary casemates were protected by 12.7 mm (0.5 in) of armour and the conning tower by two layers of 25 mm (0.98 in) armour plates.

The detail in this thing is awesome. I have a lot of respect for builds that take the time to detail the inside as well as the outside. Not the best combat ship, but it's realism is unparalleled. This is a show piece for sure. Nice work.
