Description
Overview
The Minstrel is a unique and tactical class that can be played in many different ways. You can focus on keeping the party alive, boosting the party's damage, or even doing your own damage. Despite being a supportive class, the Minstrel is also well-suited to solo play. This class excels at support, moderate area damage, and locking down single targets with repeated stuns.

Core Mechanics
Songs creates an aura around the Minstrel that buffs allies and debuffs enemies. The three Songs are based around taking less damage, dealing more damage, and moving/attacking faster. You may freely switch between Songs and eventually all three can be active together.

Recasting a Song while it is already active spends mana to create a Reverberation projectile that mimics the Song around it. These move at a moderate speed but slow near enemies. Holding the key briefly will instead make a stationary Reverberation. In addition to applying the buffs/debuffs, each Reverberation has a unique action that triggers periodically. These Reverberations allow you to cover a much larger area with Song effects and also provide healing, damage, and/or crowd control. The three Reverberations share a short cooldown so you must decide what is most needed at any given time.

Cooldown Bonuses
The cooldown bonuses are noticeable but not game-breaking. 100% faster cooldown would equate to 50% less cooldown time.

What to tell your party
1. The green treble clefs heal with each pulse
2. Green makes you take less damage
3. Red makes you deal more damage
4. Blue makes everything faster

Notes
1. Includes Tier 6+ for "More Town"
2. This class uses the Sorcerer sprite. Ideally, this will be updated at some point but no promises
3. Has been tested in multiplayer

There are online converters that can convert tif files into other formats. You can save/export to tif using both GIMP(I think) and Krita but I haven't verified whether or not their compression works with the game yet. You can also just ask on the discord for someone to convert the tif to png and vice versa, other modders and sometimes the devs will do it for you.

I've put out yet another update that addresses all known bugs and multiplayer quirks. I also toned down the visuals to reduce clutter. This should be the last update for a while unless I missed anything.

All of the sound effects are musical, but I turned their volume way down because they get annoying fast. I thought about adding actual music, but that wouldn't sound very good with game music or external music.

I would like to change the character sprite, but I think that it requires Photoshop which I don't have. I've also heard that it's tedious. This is the sprite that I have in mind though: https://sunjay.dev/learn-game-dev/rendering-an-image/assets/bardo.png

As for the other sprite, I plan to tweak them to be less distracting but no major changes are planned. I'm not very good with sprite art.

By the way can you add some songs ? Your Minstrel is not really musical :p

Do you plan to change the visual in the future ? Maybe add an object in hand

I just put out a balance patch after playing to 25 in a party of 3. It's a lot of quality of life changes as well as a shift in damage from Strum to the Reverberations. Strum works a little different now too.
