Nano-Turbine

Description
Nano-Turbine by BlackAeronaut

This thing is tiny as far as turbine intersections go, but it's an absolute beast once you get it set up properly using TM:PE. You'll need Network Extensions 2 for some of the assets. Created because a simple roundabout just doesn't cut it sometimes, and other "turbo roundabouts" prove to be either... lacking... or are just too big for me to fit into my developments. (This bad boy measures 20x20 squares, or 160x160m.)

The odd-ball sunken-into-ground look is to split the difference between the upper crossing and lower crossing - this allows for a much shorter incline at the entry points. If that's not to your liking, though, you can easily change it using Move It by selecting the straight-through sections, as well as their nodes, and using the "Align Height To Object" tool. Make sure you only do one at a time (upper section first, then lower section), otherwise it'll flatten the whole thing into an unusable pancake.

(Fortunately, Move It has a lovely "Undo" feature mapped to the 'Ctrl-Z' keystroke... but it's better to do it right the first time.)

There should be no need to do any "lane mathematics". It's already done for you. If there's an issue with "lane mathematics", then it's probably because you aren't using Network Extensions 2. The only thing you should need to configure after plopping this intersection are the lane assignments using TM:PE. Which I've shown in the images.

Regarding node spacing, that should not be an issue, either. If you set up everything the way I show in the images, then the path finding AI will recognize that a vehicle will need to be in a specific lane before entering the turbine. If you're still having issues with traffic taking strange routes, then double check to make sure you have everything set up correctly, and then check on the rest of your road network. Nine times out of ten, there will be something you missed that's causing traffic to be routed in an undesirable manner.

Otherwise, I've done all I can to make this workable. If you're having issues, then it's not my fault.

I often adapt my donwloaded interchenges to use lane methematics. So, in the end I just use my "own" interchanges, based on the Workshop content.

this is one of the best small turbines. but you have to do lane mathematics and move some roads so there are a little more distace between some nodes. and the roads should be vanilla.. to be usefull. as it is , it is not usefull. but mingle a little, and it works. i always wonder, when the cunstructor dont do lane mathematics..

This looks interesting, thanks!
