For the price of a gold ingot you can create the Ring of Tamriel Spelltome (at a Forge).
Originally this was a priceless heirloom; now a Lesser Power. With this Magic you can:

1. Travel to areas in Skyrim (Solitude's Blue Palace, Riverwood's Sleeping Giant Inn, Dragonsreach in Whiterun, the College of Winterhold, Windhelm's Palace of Kings, and Dawnstar's the White Hall).
2. Conjure Food and Drink.
3. Find Shelter (an Inn, the Blue Palace, or Your Cave/Home).
4. Conjure Treasures.
5. Cast Magic (Waterbreathing, Healing, Invisibility, or Light).
6. First Aid (Lockpicks, Potions, Leather strips, Iron Ingots, Bandages, or a Carrying spell).
