History:
The lost city of Kalahari is an enigma of European exploration of Africa and archeology dating from the late nineteenth century. History records a ruined city in the Kalahari Desert. It will not be solved until a century later with the discovery of natural concretions of dolerite. In 1885, Canadian Gilarmi Farini was one of the first Westerners to embark on the then unknown Kalahari crossing. During his return to the city of Upington, Farini then reported the discovery of what would become the Lost City of Kalahari. Farini's words, translated into French and German, give birth to a legend circulating in South Africa in the early twentieth century. Some claim to have seen an abandoned canoe, or a stone quarry in the middle of the desert. An attempt is also made to explain the presence of this unknown civilization by comparisons with the archaeological discoveries of Great Zimbabwe. The story falls into temporary oblivion, until Professor Ernest HL Schwarz (1873-1929), eminent founding geologist of the Department of Geology of Rhodes University, hands it over to the public stage in 1923 when he is dedicated to Kalahari geology and irrigation projects based on the example of Roman cities in northern Africa. From 1932, twenty-five expeditions began to search for the Lost City. They crisscross the desert area according to Farini, who died in 1929. F. R. Paver and Dr. W. M. Borcherds of Upington in the lead, they search the sands of the desert, fly over the region in aerial reconnaissance, and advance multiple hypotheses. None, however, manages to reveal any signs of construction in this area.

Rise and Fall is needed and Compatible with Gathering Storm.
