Description
- Terran Heavy Industries - THI-614-S Caterpillar A
Designed by the THI Development Office in 2065 the Caterpillar is the fist automated piston mining ship in the THI fleet. The 8 large cargo containers provide a decent amount of cargospace while 1 Hydrogen
engine power up the 4 batteries. The Drillhead contains 37 drills and is pushed by 4 pistons on each side into the asteroid. The interior contains the bridge, a small living area and is fully pressurised
All you need to do is to lock at least one landing gear at an asteroid, press the Mining Start Timerblock (toolbar 1-button 3) and get a cup of coffee/tea, after 3:20 mins the warning lights turn on
and the piston starts pushing the ship back out of the rock.

Looks like you use the center piston to connect the drills. Why not just conveyors? I can't see how
1: You make the piston move
2: You connect it to the drills in the 1st place

Hi Waipa - I am also very happy about the Caterpillar. What is the center piston for ? Is there something to add or grind after the blueprint has been welded?

Dein Autominer ist mega :) ich hatte die selbe Idee nur schmaler aber zwei reihen Frachtcontainer machen deutlich mehr Sinn

ne tatsächlich nicht ist irgendwie learning by doing und blöcke funktionieren auch als deko obwohl sie eigentlich keine sind, da muss man einfach ein bisschen out of the box denken :D

das erklärt einiges xD hast du ein tipp wie man am besten sich verbessern kann? ich hab dieses jahr angefangen und bin bei 1000h. meistens bau ich in kreativmodus und teste die sachen dann mit freunden auf privaten survival welten.
