Description
This was a crazy idea, but it works and saves a ton of fuel!

Controls:
shift/ctrl: main engine throttle and rotor torque
i/k: adjust blade pitch on ascent/descent

To fly:
1) Engage SAS, and for hands free ascent set target orientation to radial out (and remember to change it back later).
2) Press shift to increase rotor torque - you don't need a lot, three notches on the throttle is good.
3) Adjust blade pitch if you want to ascend faster, but the default is fine!
4) Climb above 10,000 meters, decrease rotor torque (or hit the brakes), then active the rocket stage.
5) Switch vessels ('[' or ']') to fly the booster or take the rocket into orbit.

The reusable prop booster stage can fly and land pretty nicely, but you have to find the right mix of rotor torque and blade pitch! If you like my designs consider subscribing to my channel to show your support!

just add some boosters with more rotors

This is a cool design, but i'm wondering if you can make a larger version so it can lift a massive rocket?

Wait, how is a battery-powered electric booster with 16 blades that can lift a 50 ton rocket above 10km, and then land to be reused, not practical? :P

thats cool and all... but like... why? its not practical...

Nice invention. I think it is quite innovative. But i have to say, that this concept is not usuable in real life. As a rocket engine would be more fuel efficient than a rotor blade. The Kerbal Rotors are OP.

welp, i didnt expect to see this today... thats pretty kerbal

If you look closely you'll see it's "Kabst Blue Ribbon" :D

PBR flag is the greatest thing I've seen in a Kerbal design

This peaks my interest.

this design WILL save fuel when launching from Eve!
