When Eastern Han Dynasty broke into pieces, Cao Cao fought his way out of many warlords. After defeating Yuan Shao, he seized the hegemony in North China and became the power most likely to unify the empire. His enemies, however, would not easily admit defeat. No matter how many defeats he tasted, Liu Bei could always rise again with the support of his loyal followers. Under the protection of Liu Biao, he had been planning the next moves for years. However, the sudden death of Liu Biao and the expedition of Cao Cao interrupted his plan. If he could not survive the overwhelming attack from the North, his ambition would soon vanish in the upcoming storm.
