Essa Ríos

Essa Ríos, known mostly as Mr. Águila outside of his WWF run, made his WWF debut in 1997 as part of the light heavyweight division (initially as Águila).

Ríos was involved in the Light Heavyweight title scene from early 2000 until his release in late 2001. He held the title for a month in 2000 after capturing the title from Gillberg on Sunday Night Heat. Ríos was accompanied to the ring by Lita around the same time, but after Ríos attacked her in frustration, Lita was rescued by the Hardy Boyz, leading to the formation of Team Xtreme.
