B'antha class Defense Fighter (Ma'nthi/VAN)

These ships were originally Earth patrol fighters, designed to suppliment the existing, albet ageing ships defending key planets. When the Ma'nthi, a spinoff race fo Xanthi, were liberated after the First Xanthi War, they were given this class as aid. When the Second Xanthi War started, more of these ships, as well as older, obsolete fleet ships were given, however the Ma'nthi declared neutrality. However, they allowed Earth ships to repair and resupply, while turning Xanthi ships away. Some of these ships were captured by the Xanthi, and thus influenced their fighter program to counter the Earth types.
