DISCLAIMER:

This is part of a heavily fictionalized interactive war about China vs. Japan (and the United States). If you do not like the topic that is being presented, than just ignore this workshop item, and either click the back button, or the exit button. I will not respond to those that are going to care more about who is fighting each other than the actual maps themselves.

If you didn't know, or haven’t seen my Osaka map since day 1, I think, I decided to reverse my decision regarding the halt of any 3S-JW content. I looked at the conquest map again, and tweaked it, and I feel like it finally worked out for me this time. I promise to not cancel this again, because I over exaggerated the fact that I was cancelling it over that.

Also, I realized that I didn’t use any assets that were from the Unity store. Interesting imo.

This is best played using the Skirmish gamemode, since this is an Engagement Level.

Description:

Ship Incursion is a small sized map set on a Japanese carrier, where it pits the Japanese and Chinese on the opposite sides of the carrier, with one neutral flag. The two sides must use flanking, and effective use of cover in order to dominate the carrier.

On our way back to Okinawa for some RnR, an unidentified bomber squadron that we hadn’t known of from the POV of us at the carrier had been bombing us in large numbers. Luckily, the bombs mostly missed the ship, since we zig zagged our way out of it all. Unfortunately, a second wave was on its way to destroy us, and worse, there are some uninvited paratroopers that had boarded our ship. On closer inspection, a series of Chinese troops had attacked the carrier. Our men had to fall back onto the other side, and had geared up thanks to the many boxes of ammo laying around in the area. Now that we had geared up, we must take back the carrier from those invaders.

PLA:

Our great expansion plan had, as of recent, not been planned marvelously. Phase 1 of the task to sabotage this hefty ship was a complete failure due to poor coordination, and the enemy had known of us when we had attempted to bomb that ship. Now that a second wave is on it’s way, we had sent our many paratroopers to the carrier to eliminate the resistance head on to keep them busy from the eventual second bombing run. This is a risk, comrades. If we are to take the carrier, and sabotage it, it would open up a gateway to Okinawa, and the islands northeast of it, and would also give us time to send troops faster. However, if our troops failed to keep the enemy occupied for some time, then our enemy will have battle ready troops in Okinawa, and would be able to defend it more fiercely than we would think.

For the holes in the carrier, though the AI can't access it from up top, I made it so the player can flank around, and eliminate enemies from that way. It is optional though. I was going to include a control point on the middle deck, but considering the design, and me being lazy about it, I removed it, and made this map more of a tug of war, or at least trying to be one.

If you just want to say "don't play if you think the map is bad", then please don't reply to me. Because you and I don't care about the same things. You don't care if the map is balanced, perfect in every way, and you don't want to improve it. You're just using the map as a tool to vent your negative emotions with stereotypical political bias against citizens of other countries.:steamfacepalm:

I have question why this map is easier for the side located at the SE birth point to win? Because the only neutral point in the middle only has a half man high box as cover in the direction of the NW birth point, and the view is very good. The neutral point facing the direction of the SE birth point does not have a half-high box as cover and has a poor view. And due to game restrictions, both sides face north at birth (respawn), so the side born at the NW birth point cannot charge directly but needs to turn around before charging, making it reach the neutral point later. If this is an action mode map, then it is still qualified in itself, but it is limited by the fact that the game itself has no way to compensate the attacking side. But if this map is conquest mode, then I must say that the side born at the NW birth point is at too great a disadvantage and the map is unbalanced.
