Description
[Vanilla|Survival Ready|No Subgrids]

A simple gatling gun to attach to large (and small) grid ships via a connector.

The C-80 Ripper is the big brother of the C-30 & C-50. With its 8 gatling guns it can rip almost any ship apart and when properly aligned (thanks to the connector mount), all of these guns mounted on your ship will shoot at the exact same spot, devastating everything in their path.

-fully conveyored
-attached via connector
-no scripts needed

Some stats:
-Blocks: 56
-PCU: 1045
-Mass: 4.8 t
-8 gatling guns

How to use:
-Build a connector on your ship (leave some space for the gatling gun)
-Paste in/ project&weld this blueprint
-Move it close to the ships connector, so that both glow yellow (easiest with a tugboat)
-Nudge it around to align the rotation (either with jetpack or tugboat)
-Open the terminal of the gatling gun and start the timer (connectors then lock automatically&permanently)
-To shoot simply move the gatling guns into the toolbar (works the same way as with small ships)

Some tips:
-U can still use 'P' for landing gears or connectors, the gatling guns will not detach
-Since a recent update Connectors stay connected without power, i.e. the guns will never detach
-In creative, paste it in while slowly moving towards the connector
-You can change the Connector strength, if that makes alignment easier
-If you attach it with a tugboat, you can yaw it inwards to sight them in, so they will not shoot parallel but converge

This is such a simple yet effective mechanic, it basicly defines 'engineering' in a nutshell. I respectfully bow to your creativity!

Yep, works like a charm :D
I thought about putting additional landing gears on the guns first, but clang didn't like that idea.

Wait how did you get it so they don't detach when you press P? Timers constantly triggering lock?
