SALAMANDER S - RECONNAISSANCE VEHICLE

Tried and true, Salamander Armoured Cars were originally envisioned for military operations.
They are able to traverse almost all environments, even zero G, making them an obvious choice for the EREBUS 3 mission. ...

LOG/COMMANDING OFFICER (Cmdr. Bauer):
2 days in this sandstorm and it's only getting worse. No contact to team 1.
Ibanez boosted the transmitter so we can at least send something.
That girl is a genius. Let's hope team 1 recieves our messages.
Our Dragonfly is grounded due to the storm, somehow sand got into the fuel supply.
Those things were never meant for a place like this, damn publicity stunt.
Tomorrow we'll take the cars to try and make contact with team 1.
Something is not right about this.


Story time over, let's get to the nitty-gritty...

This time there is nothing especially important to know, you can get in and go.
Pressing 1 will acticate CRUISE CONTROL, so the car will maintain it's current speed W or S will deactivate it. SPACEBAR and P, as well as A and D will not. The Status can be seen on the dash, the speed indicator turns green when it's active.
Lights are fully automatic: Stop lights, indicators and revese lights are always active, taillights turn on if Low-Beam is turned on. High-Beam can be controlled with L. Status is also visible on dash.
For the front and rear Grippers it's advisable to lower the suspension, grip, then raise again.
It is also advisable to lower the suspension for high speed travel. Default is set to -37cm (which I use for off road) at 13cm + it will not roll (on flat ground), even at high speeds.
The Boosters are for ground pressure. When activated you can go up very steep inclines (the less gravity the steeper - on the moon even a ceiling drive is doable).
Survival Kit and Backup Reactor access is hidden under the rear bumper.

I'm new to the game, looking for blueprints. I saw the Salamander S and what it could do, knew i had to use it with Goldshell's Prometheus Multi-Role exploration ship. I'm the sort of gamer who likes to explore NOT base build. LOL. Awesome job on dev blueprint notnewbutyork ! 😀

so, i want to build a really small one, like REALLY small. But i need a script that makes it steer with only gyros. Wheels still for propulsion and so on, but they are at a fixed steering angle so Skid Steer wont work, as it resets steeing angle and it works with override, which messes with 1x1 small grid wheels...
oh and the drivetrain is at a 45 to the seat. I could post it if you'd wanna have a look.
