Jerry Lawler would be involved with ECW when ECW invaded Raw in 1997, he would hate ECW by calling it "Extreme Cr*ppy Wrestling" Jerry would also insult many of the wrestlers by calling them "Misfits", along with insulting the fans and promoter Paul Heyman.

Jerry would later be booked for some matches in ECW, where he bothed a steelcage match making Rick Rude attack Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman before the match started.
He would later take on Tommy Dreamer in a singles match, Lawler would lose the match.

Lawler would later join the WWE ECW, having a match at WWE ECW One Night Stand 2006, Lawler would lose the match to Tazz by submitting to a choke hold.
