Though I'm not sure why you'd even bother, since a container is smaller, and even then, there's no real reason to have any sort of container involved at all:

Containers and vaults are usually used for more complex input-output things, like sorting the output of a Separator or Disassembler or the input of an Alloy Smelter, but the Multipress only has one input and one output. Its simplicity negates the need for complex schematics. I'll look at your other designs.

Why not move the water extractors outward a unit and place upward facing belts next to the coal unloaders? It'd save four spaces near the middle and take slightly less time to star up. You could even move the power node to one of those now-opened spots. Actually, now that I think about it, Maybe move multipresses up a unit and place the coal unloaders on the other side with a junction between them. Hang on, let me work this out.

Works perfect. Having a vault in the middle, double input option is very nice. I always use this setup for my mid game graphite production.
