first off, my deepest gratitude goes out to MidnightChord™ and reddit user /u/Boxofcuriosity for the mods that formed the basis for this. this mod wouldn't have been possible without them <3

this was going to be a private personal variant of MidnightChord's old "cyberspace barren replacer" mod, but it took a bit more effort than i thought for it to get running. so i hit them up for permission to make this public, and here we are!

this mod allows "virtua" planets to spawn around T4+ stars. virtua planets are functionally the same as barren planets, but feature a cyberspace theme! want to build a city amongst an 80's neon-lit sky? well, now you can!

FEATURES
-MidnightChord™'s Polygon Blocks Patch is integrated.
-hueshifting!! experience virtual worlds of many colors!! (patch here if you prefer vanilla cyberspace colors: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1897991449)
-background is fullbright! embrace the neon!
-a working terraformer!! i'm p sure it works, i did test it
-custom music pool!!
-no cosmic intruders (may include a patch for them to spawn eventually)
-no scanline effects (may also include a patch for this eventually)
-yes, it's compatible with FU

let me know if anything borks up! this took a while to get working properly, and i wouldn't be surprised if there was any bugs i missed xx

once again, credit and gratitude to MidnightChord™ and Boxofcuriosity for the original cyberspace patches and polygon block patches, and for allowing me to make this mod a reality :D

might be issues with anything that edits any file with polygonplatform and slopedpolygon in their names (slopedpolygon.matitem for example), but the only mod i know of that affects those is the Polygon Blocks Patch mentioned in this mod's desc. otherwise there should be no problems?

I'm building a massive modpack/collection and I have been testing it for about 2 weeks. I have revisited this mod and found that after adding other planet types to the game these worlds are not as common which is good, they are still a bit too common I would prefer it if they were a super rarity but I suppose it is fine as is. Would there be any compatibility issues you know of? Like ID issues with the items it adds or anything like that?

ahhh, idk if it's anything to do with the planet generation unfortunately. i did try to set the spawnrate to low but not absurdly so, but it's been a while since i tackled starbound modding so idk about making a patch that tweaks the spawnrate of virtua planets.

Well I like what you made, incredibly aesthetically pleasing but for me after testing them out they are just too common, they appear way too often and when one appears usually multiple do. I would prefer they were more of a rare appearence.

Also there aren't any blocks that really fit the aesthetic of them so it's hard to really want to build anything on them, like I said really cool looks but I don't know. Sorry I'm probably just being a jerk or too picky.

this version has the vanilla colors too, but expect to do a bit of planet hunting to find them!

Yes but I am asking does this version also have vanilla colors? I want the other colors too but also the vanilla.

shouldn't conflict with anything as far as i know? as for vanilla colors, there's a link in the desc for the patch to just keep vanilla colors.
