Autonomous Weapon Balance (Modular Modification)

Description
Part of my Autonomous Weapon Balance series, this mod rebalances the damage system.

The main change is a general 50% reduction in damage – this indirectly gives the smaller ships a higher chance to use their emergency FTL (it only triggers on hits while already below 50% hull, many shots were taking out these ships in close to one shot). It also makes battles last longer, but I judged that to be of less importance.

X and T slot weapons have had their accuracy reduced by 10%. This gives them the same damage per shot, but means their damage over time isn’t simply superior to all other weapons. As a side effect, they are also more sensitive to tracking, which I thought was a good thing!

The final change was to reduce Point Defence damage some more, in the hope that the AI would stop using it as a general weapon. Missile health is adjusted to compensate.


Compatibility:
The weapon_components file is a large amalgamation of all weapons, and only one instance can be used. Because of this any mod that changes existing weapons will conflict. Mods adding new weapons may work but are unlikely to be balanced.

Highly recommended to be used alongside “AWB Strike Craft”. They have only been split in case you want to use your own fix for them (e.g. disabling them completely). Without the Strike Craft change, they will have unbalanced health and damage.


Please tell me if you believe anything is unbalanced, either theoretically or through testing!
