Description
Story
1982, The tension between the soviet union and united states continues and both sides paranoia is increasing.
You take the role as a sergeant in the Russian army, relocated to the Chernarus province by orders directly from the General.
With you, three soldiers. Together you are the best of the best.
You have been called to the general. Don't let him wait.

Gameplay

Time: Atleast an hour.
Genre: Adventure/Action/Horror
Best experience is COOP with 4 players but singleplayer works.
The mission is inspired by Stranger things but not a part of the main story.

Read this before playing

  • As we all know Arma AI... could be better. The group leader have an action to teleport the ai to his location. Mainly to get them in and out of buildings.
  • This is 1982, you don´t have much armor so AI will do good damage. Don't think you can rush them.
  • As the group leader you can control your men. Use them.
  • In multiplayer it will not progress until all players are ready (Seen all cutscenes, dialogs).
  • Sound should be high. Music is optional but i do recommend it.
  • Don´t disable the AI. They are a part of the story.

Good horror mission and nice ambient with enemies and aliens number balanced. Only the final cinematic for me was a little confused. When will you design the second part ? Thank you in advance. :steamhappy:

Not too bad. The atmosphere and sense of mystery is there, but the cliffhanger ending was very... predictable, and not that great, tbh. The few misspellings also slightly take away from the experience. All in all... 7/10

I think the cutscenes all depends on who is activating a sector. So in multiplayer it can be different. But it should be the same outcome.
Im not sure if i will make prequels on any of my missions. Right now i working on an RTS for arma so will see after it.

I was watching the video in this post above and I did not get the cutscenes as much as the MP group did. Was it because I played in SP?

I completed the mission and it was very good! I felt it was like a prequal to the next season of Stranger Things! Waiting on follow up mission! :)

PS: Any more missions for George from Vineyard Branches?

I found out the i coded so only the first player slot is checked. My misstake i will upload a fix soon. But yes if you restart and make sure the 1st player is alive it should work.

I was playing SP. My character "died" but I switched to the second AI, took control of the Squad of 3 and continued up to that point. The dialog still shows it sometimes going back to the first "player" and the AI I was supposed to talk to is NOT dead. But became non responsive to the USE command.

Should I restart the game and ensure the 1st player is alive? I don't really mind as the missing is great. I love Stranger Things and you basically setup the next seasons intro!
