Description
Take the role of a minibird pilot tasked with supporting a flight of Blackfoot helicopters on an Interdiction HQ mission. Achievements, voice overs and an epic soundtrack are just some of the things to look forward to in this helicopter mission.

Background
The CSAT's 1st Armoured Division, stationed on Altis, has been under continuous pressure thanks to concerted efforts by our air and ground forces. A sniper team, callsign Rascal, located an enemy field base to the North East of Athira - Blackfoot helicopters are being tasked with engaging the armour and air defences which Rascal has reported, your task is to engage any infantry and light vehicles once the heavier threats have been neutralized.

Objectives
1. Destroy Enemy Field Base
You are to fly north and attack an enemy field base guarded by 3 tanks and an anti-aircraft vehicle. The enemy armoured units will be engaged by a flight of Blackfoot attack helicopters, callsign Fang 1, Fang 2. Once the JTAC, callsign Rascal, deems the base neutralized you will be free to leave the mission area.

2. Locate and Destroy Convoy
There is an enemy convoy moving towards to town of Kalitha from the East. We have a special forces unit in Kalitha who will be unable to hold out against the heavy weapons in the convoy. Your task is to locate and neutralize the convoy, ensuring that it presents no threat to our team in Kalitha.

3. CAS Mission
The special forces team in Kalitha has spotted large numbers of enemy infantry converging on their positions from the South and East. Provide immediate close air support for the unit, callsign Delta 1.

Support
You are able to rearm/refuel and repair between missions by returning to base and landing near the three trucks parked in front of where the Blackfoot helicopters launched at the start of the mission.


Achievements
Because who doesn't love working a bit harder than they would otherwise need to?

Close Call
Complete the mission without ever flying above 30m AGL. How hard can it be?

Like the Matrix
Don't get hit by a single bullet (or tree, we all know how they jump into your way at the slightest provocation) throughout the duration of the mission.

Para Rescue
Arrive at the crashed Blackfoot's location within 15 seconds of being tasked. Speed!!!!

Do it Like Dslyexci
Complete the mission without ever flying above 10m AGL! Because we all know there are those who fly like their Helicopters have wheels...

Cautious Pilot
Don't get close enough for enemy small arms fire to be a problem.

Denial of Service
Don't leave any enemy vehicles in an operable state.

About
Wow, wasn't expecting anyone to read this far down the page - I'm rather impressed to be honest, either you really enjoyed the mission or you're (also) avoiding studying for your next exam. This mission started out as a simple "Let's shoot some infantry with a Littlebird/Pawnee" and surprisingly it actually took off (no pun intended). Thanks to a number of great suggestions from the community, this mission has expanded to include quite a few neat extras. I hope you enjoy(ed) it as much as I enjoyed making it, and please let me know in the comments if there's anything you'd like to see improved, fixed or added.

Had a lot of fun with this, despite some of the issues that other posts have mentioned (blackfoot in first chapter of mission is bugged and won't destroy tanks, can't wait in first obj area). As this was created with a 7-year old version of Arma as of this writing, some of the AI / win condition issues are expected.

It seems at some update this mission has become severely bugged. The Blackfoot won't destroy the tanks, and even if you steal AT weapons from your friendlies at the base and destroy the tanks on foot (or score multiple lucky hits with DAR's), the convoy mission cannot be completed: destroying the convoy does not complete the task. Cannot recommend. A shame really, since I can't seem to find more co-ops involving Pawnee CAS :(

The Blackfoots seem unable to destroy the tanks.I've waited 15 min and it is still circling around them.

Nice little helo mission.

My only issue is that sometimes it takes a long time for the victory conditions to fire (ex, had to search the hills for a lone truck from the convoy that went off-roading). But that's as much to do with ArmA's wonkiness as anything. Maybe the victory conditions could be changed to something like 3 out of 5 trucks destoyed? 70% of squad members killed? I don't know.

At any rate, the mission length is just about perfect for this type of scenario and I enjoyed it. Good work! :)

Very good mission. Had a couple times where a random accident took out the Blackfoot before takeoff (or even the entire pair of hangars), but a good restart should address it. Good difficulty, long enough for a mission, and even capable of landing at base to refit and refuel.

Mission isn't impossible. You need to wait for the attack helicopters to take out the tanks and AA like the briefing tells you. The AA will take you out if you are too high. Fly contour which is what the your heli is best at anyway and use the terrain for cover until you are told to go in.

used to be a pretty good mission. now it's borked. can't do anything against the AA. shame.

I can't even get close to the target because of AA's.
