Artemis class corvette [GBC}

The Artemis class corvette is one of the most important starship lines in the Galactic Banshee Corporation (GBC) Fleet. The vessel is mostly used as an escort vessel and as a support ship. Artemis corvettes were often send to other fleets to support them in times of danger. The most famous one is the GBC Proxima. This Artemis corvette was send to support a fleet that was allied with the GBC. When it arrived the situation was already escalating. The enemies had nearly destroyed their entire fleet in the sector and were about to destroy the last frigate that remained. The frigate was about to get blown up when the commander of the Proxima decided to put his ship in front of the fireline to give the frigate time to escape. The Frigate managed to jump away but the now severily damaged Proxima had to run away as well. The jump drive was disabled so the ship had to run away with normal speed. It ran away for 2 days and shot several fighters out of the sky before it arrived at the GBC fleet where it was repaired.
