U.S.S. Enterprise (TOS)

Description
This is a near 1:1 scale representation of the Star Trek original series U.S.S. Enterprise, NCC-1701. Scale assumed that large ship blocks are 10 feet square. In fact they are 2.5 meters, so there is a slight difference.

This Enterprise is built from the original publicly published blueprints and is as accurate as possible with the existing components.

The Enterprise here includes two shuttlecraft in the hanger bay with doors open. Closing the hanger doors would be an easy prospect.

This ship is completely flyable. There are two cockpit modules, one in the primary hull accessible through the ladder on top of the bridge, and one in the secondary hull accessible from the shuttle bay. The ship interior contains all the thrusters needed to fly the ship and, as such, the interior is not intended to be a replica of the actual ship. Space Engineers does not yet allow such detail for interiors.

This is the third attempt I have yet seen at the original series Enterprise, but this one is the first that can claim to be to scale, as accurate as possible in this given scale, and flyable all in one package.

its from the earlist moments of SE
than its an scifi ship...So more like Blender on with blocks in SE than Engineering.

I built it as close to scale as possible. From what I've recently read on the forums, the large blocks are actually 2.5 meters, or about eight feet. I scaled the ship with the assumption of ten feet square blocks...which means this Enterprise is actually a bit BIGGER than the "real" thing.
