German Football League System

The German Football League System refers to the hierarchically interconnected league system for association football in Germany that consists of 2,235 divisions having 31,645 teams (2016-17 season), in which all divisions are bound together by the principle of promotion and relegation. The top three professional levels contain one division each. Below this, the semi-professional and amateur levels have progressively more parallel divisions, which each cover progressively smaller geographic areas. Teams that finish at the top of their division at the end of each season can rise higher in the pyramid, while those that finish at the bottom find themselves sinking further down. In theory it is possible for even the lowest local amateur club to rise to the top of the system and become German Football Champions one day.

Information

It is recommended to use the current database 20.4.0 (Winter Update). Additionally "Oberliga or higher" or "Landesliga or higher" must be set. You should only switch between these two options when the game is in progress.

Potential issues

This file is not compatible with some files from other creators due to overlapping IDs. The error becomes noticeable, if e.g. the Landesligen are not correct or clubs from the Bundesliga are playing in lower league cups.

The extension does not work?!

Sometimes the file is placed in the wrong folder after subscribing. Unfortunately it has to be copied manually.

You can find the file under "C:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1100600\1919234889". The file "Fussball-Ligasystem Deutschland.fmf" has to be copied to "C:\Users\{Your Username}\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2020\editor data".
