DX441 Heavy Train Locomotive

Description
This is an ultra-heavy railroad locomotive, basically I maxed out what I could build in the editor. It's generator plant is capable of producing about 1,910 units of power. I'm not 100% sure I need the clutches... Logically they should be there...

Interior is crude and should be considered WiP but it drives just fine.

The ideal cruising speed for just the engine should be at a throttle setting of 0.14. Pushing the throttle past that is much less efficient though the train will go 130 mph....

The interior is pretty crude, the layout could certainly be improved in a few places.

I'm posting this now because I have an issue with the master slave throttle controller... It works fine on the brake side!

Hmm, the power relays might be cross-circuited somewhere... bleh...

It says it was made by Donkk because I took the forward and rear truck assemblies from my rebuild of the donkk train to ensure that it is compatible with donkk line rail cars.

Update: Version bumped the throttle system from upstream, kinda works now. =), Also, had trouble on certain track sections, so added an articulation to the front section to allow it to hold the tracks better.

Update: I had to add a second articulation to make the damn thing work, it's not really possible to cut the power plant down the middle so I cut the crew cabin down the middle. =\ Obviously re-architecting is now required but well at least it should be able to complete missions now without getting stuck.

Progress report:
Was doing load testing on a slightly different version of this, turns out wheel slip is a major issue. It can be addressed by pulling back to 28% throttle then easing forward. I have designed an automation for that procedure but I'm not sure where I want to take this design. I have a different version which uses the double wheel subassembly in the front. instead of the articulations, it has different problems than this one but generally looks better.

Update: Overhauled the drive train, took away some brute power in favor of "right sizing" the traction capacity to what could be usefully applied to the rails. The traction motors have been removed from the passenger areas, now 1 traction motor for each pair of truck assemblies. The useful range on the throttle has thus been doubled making it easier to control. Also, a second gearbox has been added to the power section to right-size its output to the range that can be used by the traction motors, it can sustain full power output without overkill. Also, when cruising at 120 mph, the RPM of the generators is very close to ideal efficiency. It could probably cruise for thousands of miles...

Update: reverted to a version without articulations in the chassis, now has a 6-truck wheelbase. The forward stowaway compartment has been removed and is now where the fuel is stored. it might be useful to add more fuel to the rear of the train. The power plant on this version does not have the web controller, and is a bit less efficient at medium power levels but is still able to drag ten cars loaded up with the current 2,500U containers to 71 MPH (or move over 200mph) with 1150U power output and go the distance with those settings. Interior needs more work. It does have some trouble with track #4 but there isn't much more I can do with a loco of this scale and track that twisty.
