Chris Adams

"Gentleman" Chris Adams was known for wrestling for World of Sport, WCCW, the UWF, USWF, GWF, and WCW over the course of a 20+ year wrestling career.

Adams started wrestling in England in the late 70's after an amateur judo career that involved time with the British national judo team. He used his background to popularize his Judo Kick, which later became the Superkick.

Adams won multiple titles over the course of his career, including the NWA American Heavyweight title four times, the NWA American Tag Team titles twice, the WCCW Television Championship three times, and the GWF North American Heavyweight Championship twice.

Throughout much of his career, Adams had issues with drug use. He overdosed on GHB and alcohol in 2000, but recovered. A year later, while awaiting trial for manslaughter, Adams was shot and killed during a bar fight.
