Description
CV-23 ‘Sapper’ Fire Support Vehicles act as an armoured carriage for heavy weapons that are not infantry portable. It is light, fast and offers comprehensive protection for the crew member.

Armed by default with a M1 mortar and a chain gun, the Sapper can mow down infantry, supprSess vehicles and offer explosive bombardment on entrenched targets.
If you get creative it can make portable small cannons (such as the QF-2pdr, 45mm and 85mm), and even tow heavy artillery pieces.

STATS
Laden weight: ~26t
PCU: 2431
Blocks: 264
Armament: 30mm chain gun, M1 80mm mortar
Powerplant: 5 small batteries, 1 small reactor

It also features a high FOV camera mounted on a piston for greater situational awareness, or to judge the range of the mortar shells. The wheel height can be adjusted to level the vehicle for firing on uneven ground. CV-23 is survival ready and features cargo storage for spare ammo on the firing deck.

CVs 21- 27 are still in development (a conceptual line of compact and portable vehicles) and will inevitably find their way to your local Phobos Armoury Group sales office at some point in the future ;)

Call it a 'safety' feature xD
Yeah the blocks lining the hatch have no collisions to prevent clang. The hatch opens to make access to the mortar more convenient.

i just found out you dont need to open the hatch to fire the mortar safely
