Description
Jumping into DAC 2019 in slot 14, MrMii's Boardwalk Colosseum is a level that pays homage to one of my favorite games on the PlayStation 3, ModNation Racers. It's a Distance adaptation of my most ruthless track, MrMii's Epic Boardwalk.

The horrifying abomination (admittedly) that is the original has been turned into a linear, single lap race track that utilizes all game mechanics. Plus, it includes weather effects like rain and lightning, which weren't possible in ModNation.

This level goes all out with some decorations. The checkpoints and starting line were all made from scratch, and look very close to the respective props. Devestators could use a bit of work, but considering each checkpoint adds 160KB to the level (14 in total), basically doubling the file size, I'm cutting corners somewhere to preserve performance.

Even though the online servers for ModNation are gone, it's still one of my favorites. The game lives on in Distance.

I had a feeling custom servers were gonna be made. Guess ill grab a ps3 when i have the chance

Well there's hope yet. A custom server for the PS3 version is being developed. Disclaimer, I'm not a part of the team behind it.

I only managed to get ModNation Racers: Roadtrip; just a watered down version of the original ModNation on the PSVita. I never got a PS3 before the servers shut down but im glad people still remember it.
