PAAG Engines ATS 1.36d

Description
Hi all,
This mod is outdated.
I'm not going to update this mod, since I'm happy with the new fMod sounds.

PAAG Engines (economic semi-auto shifting)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Exclusive:
Dashboard rattling (engine vibration resonance) noise near shifting points
under load (@ 800/1550 rpm)

I haven't seen any mods doing this, so tell me what could be better...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please rate this Mod if you'd like others to find it more easy.

This Mod adds two ECONOMIC low-rpm engines

To get the most out of them you may want to use this custom adapted gearboxes:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1562743489

For vanilla trucks, Kenworth W990 by Harven, Freightliner FLB by Harven

There's no need to go much beyond 1360/1430 rpm. You won't get more power with high rpm, since horse power does not count in the game, only torque. Kickdown goes to ~1600.
Set automatic shift on adaptive!

This are low rpm "Boat" engines so one can drive at super low rpm. These makes the truck feel more like a tractor with a low-rpm long stroking engine. They don't stall like SCS stock engines.

I made some Dashboard rattling (engine vibration resonance) sounds @~800/1550 rpm, so we can hear some engine vibration. Haven't seen this yet in other mods. Would love to hear some feedback.

Engine sound is subject of change. Right now I use older Scania Bus K112 sounds found by Momo. Thank you and the original autor. I'm looking for really slow firing sounds which give a feel of a shaking butt. Paccar style. :)

No problem, I will try get a new truck to see what happens, thank you for the help!

This is known unregular behavior regarding engine sound mods. I hadn't it my self so I'm not too sure. Mostly when deleting an engine mod while engine is still in trucks. It seems buying new engine doesn't change the sound file paths in the save game.

Next best step is to sell and rebuy the whole truck. This makes you loose the buggy sound file paths saved within the trucks profile. This should help for 99%.

Beyond that I suggest the official SCS forums where the cracks are. I'm sorry for the hassle, but it's about how the game handles sound files. I sold quiet a few trucks because of that...

Yes I tried rebuying the engines that way, I tested on the Peterbuilt and Kenworth trucks since they are vanilla trucks, and during this test I noticed the other engines now have the sound of your mod too, I am not sure if this is a problem on my end, is there anything I could do?
