Description

GAZ-24 entered production in 1967 and was in fact just a bigger modification of GAZ-21 with, what was most noticable, radical styling changes. Volgas were tested alongside older model and western luxurious sedans to make a car capable of being sold in the western markets. They were in fact popular, even one company located in Belgium, Scaldia, bought Volgas with no engine and were fitted Perkins Diesel in Belgium.
Volga was replaced by newer GAZ-24-10 Volga in 1985.
